Very interesting take on the single cut type, this Charvel is a very smooth playing and sounding guitar.
Pearl Lemon Yellow and satin chrome hardware, looks very elegant and original. Most of these models you might come across are quite beat up, this one is in superb condition, with just a couple of small marks on the back as per photos.
The neck is fast and thin, very reminiscent of the legendary Charvel "Model" series of the late 80's, with a 24,75" scale. The body is quite thin (34mm), making for a very lightweight guitar, and certainly a guitar you could play and gig for hours with, without experiencing any fatigue.
The pickups are what you would expect, sound good and full, I would say like a classic PAF (average reading of 8k). I would assume these are Gotoh pickups, just like on many Japanese market Charvel Jackson builds of that era.
Hardware is clean with just a few tiny marks of pitting. Body is clean, polished, and waxed, fretboard is clean and conditioned, frets are polished. There is little wear on the frets. Beautifully figured rosewood board.
The guitar is strung with a fresh set of 9-42 GHS Boomers (you might have to stretch them a bit still, once you bring them back to tension), action is medium, basic bridge/intonation is set. Depending on your favorite string gauge and action height, local climate, etc, you will have to fine tune the set up to your personal taste.
